Spencer Recovery Center's Teen Family Program is based on a combination of therapeutic guidance, clinical assessment and medical supervision that seeks to treat the mind, body and soul of the troubled teenager and his or her family. Our staff includes a medical doctor, psychologist and drug and alcohol counselors all of whom have many years of experience dealing with teenagers and family dynamics.

An outpatient treatment program means that the teenager reports to the licensed facility every day for the wide variety of groups and individual meetings that encompass the treatment. At night outpatient treatment means that the family can stay with their child, discussing what they learned that day and preparing work for the next days sessions.

Family involvement means that the family will be included in family therapy groups to encourage open and honest dialog. Often families want to simply fix the alcohol and drug problem that they feel is tearing their son or daughter apart but often the causes are more complicated for teenagers. Additional outside forces such as school, peer pressure, media messages, divorce, traumatic events and individual personality traits can all have a major impact on teenagers' troubles. It is our goal at Spencer to uncover all of these hidden problems so that new behaviors can be learned. The goals of the teen rehab program are to help develop a well-balanced individual who has self-awareness and is in touch with the reality of consequences of behavior. Spencer clients become responsible members of their family and learn many new skills to get over the day-to-day hurdles life can bring.

Spencer's Teen Family Program is a proven success but does require that you call to get involved so please call us today.
